About The Ballie’s Table

A small, independent South African guide to licensed sports betting. We are not a bookmaker and you can’t bet here.

Who runs this site

The Ballie’s Table is an independent sports media brand based in South Africa. We write and check everything on the site ourselves.

Why it exists

Plenty of betting sites aimed at South Africans don’t hold a local licence, and it isn’t always easy to tell them apart. We wanted a site that reviews only licensed bookmakers, shows each licence number with a link to the official source, and sticks to facts you can check, without the hype.

Editorial independence

  • A bookmaker is listed only if it holds a licence we can source. Nobody can pay to be listed.
  • We don’t rank bookmakers. The list is alphabetical.
  • Bookmakers don’t review or approve what we write.
  • We cover licensed sports betting only.

Affiliate disclosure

Right now we have no commercial agreements with any bookmaker, and the “Visit” buttons go to each bookmaker’s home page.

We plan to apply to bookmakers’ affiliate programmes. If we’re accepted, we may earn a commission when someone opens an account through a link on this site. It won’t cost you anything extra. Commission will never decide whether a bookmaker is listed, where it appears, or what we say about it. A bookmaker without a deal stays listed as long as it’s licensed; a bookmaker that loses its licence comes off, deal or not.

Links to bookmakers are marked as sponsored for search engines, and the disclosure appears at the bottom of every page.
